Having Jade by our side really helped me by having someone to talk to (who's experienced, non judgmental and very respectful of my decisions), as judgement can happen when you talk to friends or family who say «you should do it this way or that way».

At times of doubt (and a bit panicky), I would call Jade at any point in time, to ask her for her opinion and what she thought of the situation. And she would be able to calm me down, give me the advice that was in my own best interests.
During labour, she came around to our place (which was approximately 1.5 hours drive from her place to ours!) and it was such a great decision we made to have her with us on our team. She is well versed in all the techniques to help the baby come down further, to help you get through with each contraction and even allowing my husband some time to rest.
It was during Covid lockdown, so unfortunately she was unable to come into the delivery room (even though she did try to come in with us!)
My husband was initially afraid to go into the delivery room with me, as he is scared of blood and all things medical. Jade was able to speak to him and get him to understand / learn more about the process. When the time came, my husband was excited to go into the delivery room with me, equipped with all the techniques that he had learnt from Jade. All his worries were settled.
She also came around for a debrief and it was so lovely that she was able to meet our beautiful baby Luna.
My partner had to have a cesarean section so we unfortunately missed the experience of having her in the birth suites with us.
However, her knowledge in the lead up was invaluable. We felt like we were equipped with knowledge and confidence to handle all possibilities during and post op.
In the subsequent follow ups jade has been unbelievable knowledgeable, insightful and most of all a friend and confidante.
I could not recommend her highly enough to help with the experience.
